Curriculum Archive

The curriculum units housed on this site were developed by teachers enrolled in Duke University's Academically/Intellectually Gifted Licensure Program.  These units represent a variety of grade levels and content areas. Each unit was developed around a concept with learning experiences planned to guide students toward a broad and universal essential understanding.  The Understanding by Design Framework (Wiggins & McTighe) served as the foundation for lesson and unit planning.  All units are aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
